Publicly Available Questions to Triathlon Australia will be posted here…along with any responses from Triathlon Australia if provided..

NOTE - Ordinarily Triathlon Australia members would not be required to ask these questions in an open forum such as this. However, unfortunately due to the fact TA’s Constitution removes members “right to debate or vote at General Meetings”, and also due to the fact TA have not provided private responses to these questions, members have no other option than to have these questions aired publicly.

Question 220 to Triathlon Australia - 9 December 2022

So…Triathlon Australia announced its brand new Elite Selection Committee yesterday….…and named 4 people…Members had a look at the Triathlon Australia Elite Selection Committee terms of reference, and it states…

"The TAESC shall have a minimum of five and maximum of seven members dependant on required skills and any casual vacancies during the cycle."

What a mess Triathlon Australia, what an absolute mess…why can’t Triathlon Australia follow its own policy?

Dear Triathlon Australia...your Annual Report has finally been scrambled together....

Page 22-23 - reports a $450,000+ loss for the year??

So...things are actually getting worse??

Question 222 to Triathlon Australia - 14 December 2022

Wow Triathlon Australia, more than an 11% drop in Membership in 2021-2022...That's more than a 34% drop in Membership and a loss of over 7500 members in the last 6 years. This shows a total rejection by members for the failing TA. Get rid of the President!

Question 223 to Triathlon Australia - 16 December 2022

Dear Triathlon Australia,

Stupidity is to continue to do the same thing and expect a different outcome... When Triathlon Australia record

- The worst HP results on record

- Over $450,000 loss recorded

- Over 11% membership fall in 12 months...

...and this lot get to continue their appalling leadership.

Stupid.

Question 224 to Triathlon Australia - 26 December 2022

Triathlon Australia must think members are beyond stupid....according to the CEO end of year letter -

Apparently TA is 'primed to thrive' this is -

1 - Despite recording its greatest loss on record

2 - The One Management Model unable to encompass all states and territories

Apparently also TA are celebrating outstanding results as a country at elite World Championships. In reality, one U23 Able Athlete silver to an uncategorised athlete (yes TA HP Team picked him as a last minute inclusion) and Elite Able Athlete, a 5th, to a country who used to rule the world.

Oh and yes - there are over 200 items Triathlon Australia could address to improve every TA Members 'triathlon journey'...

.....what an absolute PR embarrassment Triathlon Australia is

Question 225 to Triathlon Australia - 1 February 2023

Congratulations to Triathlon Australia on finally aligning their Elite Selection Committee with its policy and adding a member to make the minimum quota. Questions must be asked as to why anyone (particularly a lawyer) would want to be involved in a panel with the failing TA National Performance Director involved as a selector in. his own program. ..

There is no way the TA National Performance Director who oversees the categorisation process should be permitted to be a selector...where is the independence in that???

While on the athlete categorisation process, the athlete list was to be updated on 31 January...that was yesterday...

When will athletes be the priority at Triathlon Australia?
